I had joined Pailan College of education after working as an Assistant Teacher in a school for 5 years. The first few days were difficult as being on the other side of the table after so many years was not easy but the sincere and affable nature of the faculty put me at ease. I must say that the teachers were very efficient and helpful. The way they conducted the classes, theory and practical, as well as the practice teaching classes gave every student the taste of being in an actual classroom and taught us how to handle the various classroom situations. Regular class tests were given so that we could assess our progress. I am really thankful to the institution as it has enriched me as a teacher and also made me realise that a true mentor does not give you all the information but arouses in you the desire to look for it.

I am quite fortunate to get admitted to Pailan College of Education. Before getting admitted I went to check the campus with my sister. I was quite happy with the infrastructure. 2013 will always remain special for me. I was going to join PCE as a deputed candidate after performing my role as an Assistant Teacher in a Government Aided (now Government Sponsored) school for more than 5years.I was a bit hesitant and, perhaps, little nervous too as I was about to restart my studentship after such a long gap. But, friendly yet guiding attitude along with methodical approach of the teachers gradually made us fall in love with the course which, in fact, offers a vast syllabus comprising both theory and practicum. A group of enthusiastic and dedicated teachers paved our road to success. Adequate facilities of the departmental library, well-equipped computer lab scientifically designed language lab make PCE a unique institution in this regard. This piece of text, however, will surely remain inconclusive if I do not mention the name of our English Method teacher, Prof. Subhadeep Mazumder-a brilliant teacher and, of course, a pure personality-'a complete man' indeed. I have already completed my course and joined my school again and have always been trying to implement whatever I have learnt from the honourable teachers of PCE.

I have been associated with teacher education institutions for more than five years as well as I have complete many courses in Education and teacher education. But its journey started from my B.Ed. college which provided me enough impetus for continuing my career in subject Education. Pailan College of Education provides 21st century education to its students with many global facilities. The college makes its students perfectly fit for job market (teaching field). The teachers are philosophy-driven, motivating, courageous, and student-friendly. They deal with students through current and relevant pedagogical means. I am happy that currently my institution is running master degree program (M.Ed.). I am feeling proud of being part of my college.

I am Samraggi Sarkar currently living in England, working as a Community Associate in a global organisation called Regus. I have completed my B.Ed from Pailan College of Education in the 2014-15 academic session. PCE has helped me shaping my dream of being a good educator and nurtured thorough-out the journey, until its reality. The kind of continuous monitoring and evaluation by the educators of PCE, not only helped me learn the new, but also helped me develop my skills. PCE acknowledges hard work and dedication of every student, which I was rewarded through the guidance and assistance of PCE teachers, in getting my first job in Armenian College and Philanthropic Academy, even before my B.Ed final year results were out. After two years of my wonderful journey of my first teaching experience in ACPA, I moved to St Francis Xavier’s school and joined there as a H.O.D of Economics and Commerce. Throughout this process whenever I needed help, wherever I was shaken, wherever I needed someone to boost my confidence, as a support system, PCE teachers were always there by my side. My Special mentions would be Subhadeep Mazumder, Prarthitha Biswas and Sumita Choudhury, who were not just teachers but were my friends, philosophers and guides in my journey of nothing to something.
